MMPI-2, which stands for Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2, is one of the most widely used standardized personality and psychopathology assessment tools in the world today. This inventory was originally developed by psychologists Hathaway and McKinley at the University of Minnesota in the 1940s, and was revised to MMPI-2 version in 1989, specifically designed to assess psychological characteristics of adults. This tool is now widely used in clinical psychological diagnosis, forensic assessment, occupational screening, and medical psychological evaluation.
