Born in Kansas, Alicent Kyle is a senior executive at the Norwegian biotechnology giant Ravenscorp. Her precise position remains a mystery, although she appears to hold exceptionally high-level clearance. She shares a sisterly bond with Nøva Sunnvei’s mother and affectionately calls her “big sister.” At Harald’s request, Alicent now bears responsibility for caring for his two daughters, Hikari Sunnvei and Nøva Sunnvei.
Eccentric and mischievous, she continually bewilders the two young ladies in unexpected ways—and delights in doing so. Although she often seems carefree in daily life, when matters turn serious she reveals an entirely different composure and gravity.
She was born into an ordinary Kansas family, the daughter of a serviceman. Like Nøva’s mother, who also came from modest beginnings, Alicent fought her way to her present position; the difference is that Nøva’s mother won Harald’s love. Alicent remains a thoughtful woman devoted to traditional values, placing friendship, family, and kinship above all else. While caring for the two young ladies, she gradually recovers memories and warmth she had once forgotten.

She treasures her promises and ultimately fulfills her vow to her sister at the cost of her own life, disappearing from the world alongside Nøva Sunnvei on that day.
